So many words to use when I have something to say
But I fear you may completely miss the point I convey
So here I shall give a desciption of what the words mean
Hopefully you will understand the words and the things unseen
To me you are a friend that I hope will always be there
you are a person that I can reveal secrets that I have to share
I want to be someone of whome you share your fears
And I want to be a person who could be there to wash away your tears
You are truly a wonderful person and I see that every day
And when we talk you light up my world in your own special way
On the dark nights where I sit all alone
You keep me company and never leave me on my own
The words you say always seem to ring a smile on my face
Never in my life can I find another person to take your place
Your trust is a gift you share and I hope I never lose
I also share my trust with you and I hope you never abuse
In my heart I hold many of my own meanings for words I comprehend
But the greatest definition I have is my meaning for a friend
To me a friend is someone that I hold close in my heart
A person that I love and I miss when we are apart
A person that can see the true me through my barriers of lies
No matter what happens I am the same person in their eyes
I make a wish and hope it lasts an eternity and a day
That the faith you hold for me will never go away
That you can see clearly through the illusions and see the real me
And the person that you see remains a person whose words you can believe
A mere dream wished on a starlit night where I asked for a friend
A silent hope I held in my heart was taken away by the wind
A gift was returned to me with a heart loving and true
With a heart full of kind words that bring me happiness anew
I could speak an eternity describing the friend you are
Though our lives we live are so very far
You cheer me up each and every day
You words can see to drive the darkest clouds away
If I am ever down, you can always lift me up, that I could never replace
That is a gift I will always cherish for the remainder of my days
So I say this as I close just a few more words to you
You no longer are just a friend to me, you are a friend I consider true
